After several years in Miami —a city to which, in my opinion, one can only truly adapt after at least five years—, I began to understand its identity: its progress, challenges, and contradictions.
The series Drops of Miami features photographs taken through the wet window of my car, showing fragments of a city that today is inhabited by humans but was once a swamp.
Miami’s unstoppable growth involved taking over the Everglades, profoundly altering the environment. Although there are laws today that protect it, the areas that have already been transformed will never return to what they once were.
During this period, other visual and social concerns emerged within me, some of which served as inspiration for my works.

Visual Extres: This photographic series captures various elements—such as cars, crafts, signs, and actions—that, in my perception, represented visual aggressions against the city of Miami. Using a kitchen strainer as a symbolic filter, I photographed these elements in the exact places where they were located, highlighting the visual pollution affecting the city.
