As I often repeat, my work is nothing more than a diary written in creative codes. These years of my life mark my arrival in Miami: the discovery of a new world, full of opportunities, but also charged with uncertainty, learning, and nostalgia. The works I created during this time faithfully reflect those experiences. They speak of memories, of stances toward the political situations of the moment, or simply of the fears and doubts that arose in the face of the new and unknown that I had to confront.
These were years devoted, above all, to adapting my mind and my existence to the new life we were beginning. My artistic creation during this period also sought a form of adaptation—to new times, new sensations, and to that new reality we were starting to inhabit.
